Tattooing often involves adapting and personalizing designs to fit a client's body and preferences. In my recent project, I worked with a client who was inspired by skull and snake flash art but I wanted to change the design that can be uniquely their own. 

This is the original flash design. When I did a mock up on my client's skin, it doesn't quite fit well with her other existing tattoos. You can see a bit of overwrap where the butterfly is and the snake head is wrapping too much. So I decided to change the design a bit.

Here's new design and mockup. I like it because it fits perfectly on my client's body and leave just right amount of gap with her other tattoos.

This is the final result! I am very happy with this final look. It took about 4 and a half hours in total. Here's a breakdown of the equipment and techniques I used to bring this piece to life:

As I embark on this new blogging adventure, I found myself pondering what the ideal first post should be. After some contemplation, I believe that sharing the story of my very first tattoo experience is the perfect way to kick things off. This momentous occasion took place a few days after Christmas in 2021, and the memory remains etched in my mind.

I recall that day vividly; I was a bundle of nerves, my hands trembling with anxiety. It was only thanks to my supportive client, who offered continuous encouragement throughout the process, that I managed to complete the tattoo successfully.

Fast forward to today, and it's been approximately two years since I first dipped my toes into the world of tattooing. Despite the time that has passed, I can honestly say that I still get those familiar butterflies in my stomach every time I'm about to begin a new tattoo. However, something has changed. Those jitters, once dominated by nervousness, have transformed into excitement.

The primary objective of this blog is to serve as a living document of my journey, charting the progress I've made in my tattooing career. But it's not just about my personal growth; it's also about helping others who are looking for valuable resources and guidance on their own tattooing journeys.
